Meet Jackie Daniel and Jasmine Lunnie

We are two Black women, sisters, born and raised in St. Louis, MO, by two loving parents, Celia Daniel & Clifton Daniel. Three of our biological grandparents were born and raised in East St. Louis, IL, a community that influenced our upbringing as well. Throughout our childhood, we were thrust into every scripture reading and Easter speech there was to offer at church. We both played instruments and were student and social leaders through school. We volunteered across a multitude of community initiatives, ranging from an annual Alzheimer’s Walk to our grandparents’ small businesses, which included a medical doctor’s office and a hauling business. In high school, we charted different paths, but often found one another in the hallway or on the tennis court, where we spent time learning and growing as tennis stars and leaders. We’ve even spent time together in higher education at Lincoln University of Missouri, where we were ultimately both initiated into our illustrious historically Black Greek-letter sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, through the Alpha Theta Chapter. Professionally, we’ve labored together in the food industry and a recruiting firm. After spending some time living together and eventually navigating our own independent journeys, we come back together with new identities, more experience, and more confidence to build something for us, with lessons and wisdom inspired by the joint servitude only our unique shared experiences could have ever taught
